VANESSA RIVAS-LOPEZ
Dr. Vanessa Rivas-Lopez was born in Mexico and grew up in Wheeling Illinois. She did her undergraduate education at Northwestern University and medical school at University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed her residency training at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
She moved back to Chicago to be closer to family. Prior to joining PHA in 2023, she worked at Erie Family Health Clinic for 4 years before deciding to move to the suburbs to accommodate a growing family. She and her husband have 2 kids with another on the way and a dog. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking/baking with her kids, reading, going for walks and collecting all things Frida Kahlo.
Her clinical interests include newborn care, breastfeeding, asthma, food allergies, eczema, obesity and preventative care.
Dr. Rivas-Lopez shares PHA's dedication to providing high-quality medical care to all the children of our community. She is fluent in Spanish and primarily works at our West Chicago and Naperville offices.
